Tony Carter Principal Broker

TONY CARTER

I commenced working as Brokerage WA in 2016 at the conclusion of a successful career in the motor industry spanning 44 years.

“Retirement” never suited me, and I identified a business plan that worked with people and provided a service to those who need assistance in either Buying a New or Used car or Selling a Used car.

Many people approached me holding genuine fear of engaging with the motor industry, are too busy in their professional life or living too far from the city to be effective in either buying a car or selling a car.

A critical part of this plan is that I work for my client – not for dealers.

The reason for this is simple.

In each transaction there needs to be a “master” or “boss”.  If it is a dealer who pays my fee, it is the dealer who holds expectations, whereas if it is my client who engages me and they pay the fee, it is clearly my client whose instructions I take and whose best interest I am focused upon.

So, Tony Carter as Brokerage WA acts as the “Buyer’s Agent” when a client wishes to purchase a car and as the “Seller’s Agent” when a client wants to sell their existing vehicle.

Why not “trade in” the current car?

By treating the transaction as two separate transactions (buy & sell), we can identify where the best deal is for purchasing a car, and importantly, where the absolute best deal is, for the sale of your existing car.  It is a case of 1 + 1 can equal 3.

That is it.  I do not “do” anything else.  At no time do I ever “sell” to clients.  I bring solutions to your vehicle needs.  This relationship turns the whole “car buying experience” on its head.  Brokerage WA and each client enter a partnership where it is about your needs and in your timeframe.

Brokerage WA does not “upsell” to products you do not need, and where you do have a genuine need, we include it in your initial specification, so the tender process takes care of the sound and effective pricing for any extras.

Brokerage WA holds a Motor Dealer License to carry on its business and whilst this permits me to buy and sell cars to the public, I elect not to sell cars to the public, preferring to work with clients to satisfy their vehicle needs.  When we do buy cars, they are destined to be sold to dealers.

Look at the FAQs section.  Here I have tried to answer both the simple and some more complex queries many clients have about buying and selling cars and about why they should engage Brokerage WA to act for them.
